Configuration:
The detecting system of HXMT consists of 18 modules that contain a slat collimator and a NaI(Ti)/CsI(Na) phoswich detector each. Every module has a field of view (FOV) of and collecting area of 286 cm2. The long axes of the FOVs of the two neighboring modules differ by . So the overall FOV of HXMT is about and the total collecting area about 5000 cm2.
